Here's a little informal Q&A session that Peter and Six Degrees put together in preparation for his upcoming appearance on E-town (a live recorded show in Boulder on Sunday, January 17th). . . Thought you'd find it interesting! and very Peter! Enjoy!

Q: Your first studio album in five years - what have you been doing all this time?
A: I've been raising kids, working on film and tv scores, touring, I've made two children's records, and I've taken up scuba diving.

Q: This is the first CD without your longtime band. Why?
A: When the inspiration hit to record, the people I usually work with were unavailable. The musicians on the record are people I've worked with during film composing projects, and they've brought a new color to my work.

Q:What influenced the material on "Love Thinketh?"
A: television commercials mostly...that, and joy, pain, hope and transcendence

Q: You mention that this album has a certain "darkness" to it. Can you elaborate?
A: the idea of looking at one's hopes for the future in juxtaposition with the way things actually turned out

Q: Will there be a band tour behind this project?
A: yes, there will be

Q: How do you feel that your fervent and long-time fans will react to "Love Thinketh"?
A:I hope they'll like it, but I don't write for them. I write for me. No offense intended.

Q: Spirituality - You've been studing Jewish mysticism for many years - How does this this work it's way into your music?
A: It allows me to remember there is more to life than the music business. I can only hope that gets reflected in my music.

Q: What is it that makes your live shows so compelling?
A: I think that I make my shows unfold in a spiral rather than in a linear sense. They then tend to be more full of surprises.

Q: You're noted as being incredibly prolific, churning out hundreds of songs, soundbites and ditties in your home studio - what is your muse behind all this creativity?
A: My need for the attention that my parents couldn't give me. That and G-d and.... maybe genetics

Q: You've been composing and playing music since your early teens. What musicians would you say most influenced you and your work?
A: beatles, hendrix, bob dylan, bob marely, miles davis, cat stevens

Q: What music are you listening to at the moment?
A: I love the new beck record. I'm also listening to this hawaiian singer named, israel kamakawiwo ole.
